With the Multinautic QPF-495 Aluminum Dock Series, it’s easy to create your ideal dock. This simple collection allows you to combine 5 ft. x 10 ft. dock sections in a straight line, side by side, or in an “L” shape to suit your design. It’s the perfect size for a light frame assembly that offers either a low or medium freeboard, depending on your nautical activities and the specifics of your shoreline. Choose from stationary and/or floating ensembles, with or without cedar decking. Each unit is modular, letting you decide the exact configuration that best suits your needs. Combining three or more dock sections in a floating layout will allow you to moor a boat up to 25 ft. long. Its sleek, uniquely designed aluminum frame system lets you insert mooring cleats (and other accessories) into the top track without drilling into the decking, and easily relocate them as needed. Decking boards can be assembled as panels that can be quickly removed from the subframe for easier handling year after year. • Stationary docks are suitable for water depths up to 4 ft. As mentioned, you may need to combine fixed and floating sections depending on your shoreline. A floating dock system requires a semi-floating ramp, which can be created using a floating kit.
• Before adding the semi-floating ramp, install enough stationary dock sections to extend further into the deeper waters, leading to the floating area.
• Included in the kit are two 6 ft. HDG steel posts with PVC caps and 6 in. x 6 in. HDG steel base plates. These innovative plates allow the post to be passed through a hole, driven into the shoreline or lake bottom, and secured in place, preventing further sinking.
• The included lumber for this kit is cedar, known for its lightweight and long-lasting properties. Its natural resistance to mold and insects eliminates the need for coatings, keeping the water free from chemicals, smooth for barefoot walking, and practically splinter-free.
